Next Steps to Secure Your Stay in Chicago

• How do I reserve a stay in a furnished property through WorldOProperty LLC?

The first step is to complete the form in the Availability? page to indicate your preferred dates of stay and if you have a property preference.   We will return your message letting you know the closest available dates to your request.

• What are the minimum and maximum length of stays?

The minimum stay is 31 days and there is no maximum.

• How do I apply?

​After we have confirmed a property is available for your requested dates, we will send you an application through Keycheck.  Keycheck charges $44.95 per applicant.  All tenants or the property will need to complete the application. 

• How do I secure a property?

Once your application has been approved, you will receive either a Chicago lease or a House Guest Agreement depending upon the property.  This will be sent via docusign to each tenant for signature.   Additionally, an invoice will be sent for payment of at least half the first month's fee, any additional deposits, and cleaning fees.  The second half of the first month's fee will be due 5 days prior to agreement start date. The property is NOT secured until both the agreement is signed and the deposit has been made.

• How are payments made to WorldOProperty LLC?

WorldOProperty LLC accepts Zelle, Venmo or Wire for payments. 

• Is WorldOProperty LLC a real estate brokerage?

No.  WorldOProperty LLC is not a real estate brokerage.  We own a few furnished rentals in Chicago and manage only those. We do not represent clients. 

• What is the cancellation policy?

If reservation is cancelled more than four weeks prior to the visitation, 100% refund will be granted.   If the reservation is cancelled between two and four weeks prior to the start of the visitation, 50% refund will be granted. If cancellation is received less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the visitation, no refund will be granted.

• Can I tour the property ahead of time?

Generally, most properties are not tourable before the stay because they are usually booked.  This is why a detailed video is provided for each property.   However, if there happens to be a gap during stays, the owner will do her best to accommodate a Facetime tour. 

• What are the rates?

Chicago demand fluctuates drastically with the seasons.  As such, the rates are seasonal.  They may range anywhere from $2900/mo to $3900/mo depending upon the season.  Reserve early to secure your dates!

• Is there a refundable Security Deposit required?

There is a refundable fee (not a Security Deposit) that is used in the event the resident loses keys, fobs, or receives any rule violations in the buildings that result in costs to the owner. This fee deposit will not be held in a separate interest bearing bank account because of the temporary nature of these stays.

• What is the Checking in and Checking Out Process?

The owner will meet you upon arrival and give a tour of the property, facilities and neighborhood as needed.  At the end of the stay, the owner will schedule a final walk through with the tenant to ensure the property is in good order.  

• Do I need Renter's Insurance?

Personal property is not covered by the owner so it is highly recommended that you have Renter's Insurance.  The owner is not liable for damage, loss or theft during your stay. 

• Are there laundry and cooking appliances?

All of our properties in River North and Lakeshore East (New East Side) have in-unit washer and dryers.  The coming soon East Lakeview property has a common shared laundry in the building.   Each kitchen is equipped for cooking and dining.

• Are there any utility fees?

Utility fees may be charged depending upon the monthly rate and season.  They will be identified when quoting the rates.
